Please join the Students of York River Academy of Technology in interviewing Dr. Sebastian. Listen as a YRA student asks her about York River Academy moving from our current learning cottages into a new building. She talks about how the building will be shared with the Boys and Girls Club of America. The York County School Division believes that the building will be put into place soon. During the day the building will be used for YRA and on nights and weekends the building will be used for the Boys and Girls Club of America. Dr. Sebastian explains how the Chinese education system works and how all students learn English at an early age. In our second installment of our round table interview series, Dr. Williams explains the role of technology at York River Academy of Technology and also in the York County School Division. Dr. Williams describes the balancing act between adding new software packages and protecting the network security.

Dr. Williams comments as we continue to develop 21st century skills within our schools, we must stay competitive not only in our communities but also in the global market. He realizes the importance of this concept and plans on keeping a focus on technology development.

Join the students at York River Academy of Technology in a new round table discussion of events as they internview York County School Division's new superintendent, Dr. Eric Williams. In this first installment of the round table series, Jasmine asks Dr. Williams if there are any new plans or activities this year for YRA.

Dr. Williams tells us about the most important plans for YRA explaining his exitement for fielding the inaugural senior class for the academy. He also dicusses other items of interest to YRA students and their families.

Welcome to YRA Today, a Webcast from York River Academy of Technology. This Webcast is hosted by anchor man Chris Topher. In this latest installment of YRA Today Mr. Topher introduces two new reporters, AJ and Xander. Their stories are about many of the new things at YRA. AJ talks about the Dual-Enrollment partnership with Thomas Nelson Community College and YRA. Now students can earn college credit while attending YRA. Xander talks about YRA's new teachers, new classes, and the new software technology now at YRA. Please view the movie to find out more about YRA and our new senior class graduating in June of 2009.
